Lecturers of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics were awarded with the good teaching grant

Tiina Kraav, Lecturer in Mathematics Education, and Kaur Lumiste, Lecturer of Mathematical Statistics, were awarded with good teaching grants.

The aim of the grant is to support lecturers in developing different teaching practices, analysing them systematically and in distributing the results. The awardees were chosen considering their current contribution in educational development and the prospective results of their educational research.

The Academic Affairs Committee received four applications from which three were chosen. The Committee consists of the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs of all faculties, the Head of the Office of Academic Affairs and the Vice Chairman of the University of Tartu Student Union. Natalja Lepik and Johann Langemets from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics have been previously awarded with this grant in 2016 and 2017.
