to celebrate the 65th birthday of Professor Mati Abel

THIRD ANNOUNCEMENT - December, 2007

NEW! Since some of the participants plan to arrive later or leave earlier, we plan to have an excursion on Saturday, January 26th.  The talks will be scheduled to Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

If You plan to give a talk at this conference, then please send the abstracts of Your talk in Tex or Latex format by e-mail to mart.abel@ut.ee by January 1st  2008 for giving us enough time to prepare the printed version of abstracts on time.

Please let us also know whether You have already booked the rooms for staying or You would like us to book the hotels for You. In both cases please send us also the dates and the flight numbers of Your travel to and from Estonia.

The purpose of this conference is to bring together scholars working in the subject areas listed in the conference title, giving them an opportunity to present and discuss current research with each other in a friendly and intimate setting, as well as to celebrate the 65th birthday of  Professor Mati  Abel.

 

Topics of the conference:
 
1)        structure of topological algebras;
2)        topological sheaves, module bundles and K-theory of topological algebras; 
3)        structure of topological modules (linear spaces);
4)        applications of bornology in topological algebras and bornological algebras (modules).

We have pre-arrangements for accommodation at special prices with the following hotels:

Hotel „Park (50 meters from the building of the Faculty, smaller hotel with 18 rooms)

single room 600 EEK (38,35 EUR) for 1 night

double room 800 EEK (51,65 EUR) for 1 night

Hotel „Dorpat(about 1 km from the building of the Faculty, large and very new hotel with 200 rooms, SPA, etc.)

single room 688 EEK (44 EUR) for 1 night

double room 848 EEK (54,20 EUR) for 1 night

For booking the rooms in one of these hotels You can either contact the hotels directly via e-mail (indicating that You are coming here for ICTAA, otherwise You have to pay the full price instead of the special price) and inform us about the reservation by e-mail or e-mail Your preferences about the room and hotel directly to Mart Abel (mart.abel@ut.ee) and we will make a reservations for You. In case You prefer some other hotel, then You can always book the rooms there by yourself.

The conference fee will be approximately 50 EUR.
